Mysuru holds a wealth of experience that provides wonderful opportunities for folks who want to learn about it. To promote tourism in Mysuru, the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) will design a 15-foot-tall double-decker bus that will take visitors around the city. The difference is that the tickets only cost 250 rupees for each person. Let’s find out more about it.
Take a Mysuru tour on a 15 Feet High Double Decker Open Roof Ambaari Bus
Ambaari is a custom-built double-decker bus that rolled its wheels on March 2. This bus will take tourists to a city-wide experience that is full of architectural wonders. Inspired by London’s Big Bus Tours, KSTDC launched Ambaari at the Radisson Blu Hotel at 5:30 p.m. C.P. Yogeshwar, Minister of Tourism, flagged off the bus to enhance the tourism sector of the city.
Visit Mysuru Zoo, St. Philomena, Mysuru Palace in this Adventuresome Bus
The bus service starts from Hotel Mayura in Hoysala. It passes through the DC office, Crawford Hall, Kukkarahalli Lake, University of Mysore, Folklore Museum, Ramaswamy Circle, Mysuru Palace, Mysuru Zoo, Karanji Lake, Sangolli Rayana Circle, Chamundi Vihar Stadium, St Philomena’s Church, Bannimantap, Railway Station, and back to the starting point. As mentioned, tickets are charged for 250 per person.
KSTDC has worked with other departments such as the Forest Department and the Electricity Department to make the experience as smooth as possible. The Forest Department has trimmed several tree branches to facilitate the smooth movement of the 15-feet-high bus and The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation has realigned its transmission lines along the route. Tourists will also receive an audio guide when the bus reaches the tourist destinations identified on the route.
Audio will be available in two languages at the beginning—Canada and English. KSTDC also plans to add more languages. For the COVID situation, the bus service was delayed.The KSTDC has planned to expand its public transport in Hampi through operating 2 bus services.
